Did you know that Vans used to make custom cheerleading shoes? Steve Van Doren gave us the scoop: In the late ’60s and through the ’70s, this photo was used as an advertisement for custom-made cheer shoes. People could bring in their own fabrics, and then the shoes were made in the Vans factory in Anaheim. It only took 19 days. Go, fight, win!
